The largest skating-rink in Europe opened yesterday at Gorky Park

Europe's largest skating rink with an artificial ice surface opened at Gorky Central Park in Moscow yesterday. This year the size of the rink is increased to 18,000 square meters by expanding the original rink space to include the Fountain Square. The ice rink is separated in different zones: for children, newcomers and retirees. Also, you can find there a hockey field, a school of figure skating (1200 rubles for individual lessons) and a free Wi-Fi zone, of course.

Underground Danilovskiy river in the central part of Moscow

Autumn is almost over and all the streets in Moscow are dirty. And it is hard to climb underground through a manhole, but some experienced methods helped me to come down almost without getting dirty and reach Danilovskiy River.
Danilovskiy River (other names - Danilovka, Khudenitsa) is located in the central part of Moscow. It is a right tributary of Moscow River. It flows from Serpukhovskaya Square not far from Danilov Monastery in the east direction to Moscow River. Its lengh is more than 2 km.

One sunny day of September we decided to visit the Feodor Tyutchev State Museum Muranovo. It has a special place among other museums in Moscow region. The estate is also called The House of Poets, because its history is tightly bound with the names of two famous Russian poets - Yevgeny Baratynsky and Fyodor Tyutchev. Exhbition «BLOSSOM» by Swiss artist Stephan Spicher at RuArts Gallery

From October 25 until December 1, RuArts Gallery in collaboration with Dmitriy Semenov Gallery (Saint Petersburg), present the project «BLOSSOM» by Swiss artist Stephan Spicher that was partly exhibited at The Ludwig Museum in the Russian Museum in 2007. Stephan Spicher is experimenting with classical forms of two-dimensional art, creating multicompound artworks capable of assuming discrete forms or creating its own space. Stephan Spicher’s works resemble not only modern Orientalism, but also a neo-modern, emerged from the chaos of media culture.

The photo exhibition «Russia through a Train Window» at Zeppelin gallery

From November 7 until December 15, Zeppelin gallery in Moscow hosts a free exhibition "Travels. Greatest Hits. 2006-2009" by a famous Russian photographer - Anton Lange. The exposition presents the best photos of the project "Russia through a Train Window", selected by the photographer specially for that exhibit to demonstrate all the dimensions of the project. The pictures of project show us almost the whole country - from its south point to the Polar circle.

The huge radar and abandoned estate in Moscow region

Not far from a small town in the Moscow suburbs - Fryazino, you can find two interesting objects - an abandoned estate of the 16th century and a huge radar on the territory of a temporarily abandoned military unit. It is a transmitting antenna P-200P. The size of the antenna and nearby landscapes are impressive. Except the radar, you will find there an underground shelter, several engineering buildings, and a pool that is used for cooling the antenna during its work.

The photo exhibition "The Little Black Jacket"

From October 20 until November 11, you will have a chance to visit an amazing photo exhibition called "The Little Black Jacket" at the Artplay Design Center in Moscow. The exhibition has already taken place in London, New-York and Tokyo. For no charge, you will see black-and-white photos with lots of famous people dressed in the little black jacket by Coco Chanel, such as Alex Chang, Yoko Ono, Natalya Vodyanova, Tilda Swinton, Uma Thurman, Vanessa Paradis, Sarah Jessica Parker and many others.
